: The Economy of God : outdeep January 09, 2007, 11:53:15 PM One of the things that started all the hub-bub about the Local Church of Witness Lee was a 1964 seminar he gave called The Economy of God where he taught the modilistic idea that God the Father because the Son who is now the life-giving Spirit. ("Now the Lord is that Spirit" says 2nd Corinthians. Jesus is Lord, the Lord is that Spirit, therefore Jesus is the Spirit, get it?)
Those of the Local Church deny their great master teaches modalism but that is when you get into whether or not words have meaning which in their world it doesn't. Apparently this book is back in print. What is most humorous are the comments.
