Recommened reading if you haven't is Gene Edwards book "When the Church was led only by Laymen". Though Gene has unfortunately gone the way of George G. and is now lording it over the flock. This pamphlet sets out some great spiritual truths. Available from Seedsowers.com.

I still recommend the book. He has some others that are pretty good too. What I should have said is that I have HEARD that Gene has gotten very sectarian and has withdrawn from general home church fellowship.
Forgive me if I have cause any of you problems out there. I admit I was passing on information that I have not from first hand experience. Probably should have just left it out all together!
I hope that what I have heard is NOT true and that he has not become proud and exculsive.
Brent I know this is supposed to be for the assembly. I don't want to get side-tracked onto another movement or group. But I felt I needed to clarify the comment.
