Rep. Nick Rahall (D-WV), seems to have taken complete leave of his senses. Appropiating billions for his cronies in the coal lobby is apparently not enough for him, he had to include stunning language in an Anti-Wind Energy Section of H.R. 2337 that would criminalize the installation of a wind turbine by any US citizen without burdensome approval from some federal beaurocrat.
That any public official. in a time when dependence on foreign oil is threatening our way of life, would propose legislation so incredibly inane and corrupt, tells you how far we have traveled down the road toward a loss of freedoms we take for granted.
Think of the impact this monstrous act of greed and stupidity would have on every farmer for instance attempting to achieve some level of energy independence by the use of wind turbines. Rahall's pretense of wanting to "protect the birds" notwithstanding, this piece of legislation exposes him as not only compromised and corrupt, but irredeemably stupid as well.
Unless you are fast asleep, contact your representative and express you outrage over the attempt of this idiot to keep every US citizen at the mercy of utility companies.
