I would like to recommend two audio sermons that give a wonderful different perspective that what we had been taught years ago.

Both are by Robert McQuilkin, former President of Columbia International University and they may be downloaded here:

http://www.sadcma.org/Ministries/CMAM/SAD_index.html

The first recommendation is Saturday AM Six Things Muriel Taught Me.  It is about how he learned to love his wife.  This is not just idle chatter for Dr. McQuilkin had to take care of his wife for twenty-five years after she came down with early-onset Alzheimers.  This is much different perspective than Betty's Worker-wives notes now being featured on the ga.com website.

The second recommenation is Sunday AM.  On this site, it is called Empty Out-ment but I think that it is a mistake.  What I enjoyed about this message is that he deals with three different views of sanctification (how you grow in Christ after you are saved) and clearly explains how the our growth in Christ-likeness works.  Instead of a theological discussion, Dr. McQuilkin gives some vivid illustrations that my mind is able to cling to.  For this reason, it was worth the price of the retreat.
