I used to write at EVERY Q&A we would have "Why, when everything we do is found in the scriptures do we use a made-up term and avoid the Biblically given terms of deacons, pastors, bishops"

It was NEVER read.  I know I asked that at least 10 times.

Oh but how many times I tried to explain it to people like I knew what it meant -- SHAME ON ME !!!!!!

Excellent comments, Ken!  You say, "Shame on me!" but at least you attempted to ask the question.  Most of us, yours truly especially, didn't even question.  I thank God that now in this late hour (no, I'm not speaking of His soon return) He has had mercy on me, opened my eyes and given to me a measure of discernment and courage.

May we not look to men any longer, but to our perfect Friend, Brother and Savior!
