i added some new functionality to the registration process. you now have to type in five random letters that show up in an image. this prevents the spambots from registering and foisting their warez upon us. if anyone has trouble registering please let me know.

i upgraded the software again. this upgrade includes a built-in captcha image when registering. i had hacked in a different version of this same solution to spam, but this new one is integrated into the bb software better. as always, let me know if something isn't working right.
