Brent's neither...He's doing a balancing act and trying to be just.

He's going to upset people no matter what he does. Freedom is tough thing...But, it can't be anarchy, either.

I don't really think of Brent as a Nazi. He is a swell guy even with our lil' disagreements.

I think of him more like a lovable polar bear like those in the Coke commercials.

Hi All!
Before I make my vote I wish to state that the fact that I'm a Head Steward in Training to the Brother in question will not color my position one way or another. Wink

I have only one beef with our esteemed Administrator and that is his careless handling of a post he made re. walks on the beach! This certainly does not raise him to the status of a Nazi, but is cause for great concern!
The post, you will recall, had to do with taking time off and walking on the beach. This was a most cruel suggestion, because he must have known that there would be folks from the Midwest, Iceland, and other artic regions where such walks could prove deadly!!
This proves even more cruel when we consider the piles of snow in places like Omaha and not even having a mountain to ski down! The best they can achieve is sledding down a hill, or the like.
I demand that Brent repent and apologize for his hardness of heart in creating jealousy and envy in our dear artic brethren as we basked in summer like temps. and can stroll down the beach in our shorts (er, not the european style)! Wink

I love you Brent! Mark

I suppose brent could be considered a nazi due to the totalitarian nature of being an Admin, but i think this is solely due to his station and not his character

It seems you are fitting nicely into the category of "those typical Californians" who think that winter and snow must be avoided, that no one could possibly choose to live in such places - they must be there by necessity, and that you are located in the best place. Wrong!!!! I LOVE winter. I LOVE snow. And you, Mr. C. are missing out by not being able to experience a wonderful midwest winter.

My two cents:

Brent has struck an excellent balance between softie and nazi. Any job where you are called on to please many different factions of people is impossible. You do the best you can, no apologies and take your lumps. That's what he's done.

And, Nancy, I spent 30 years in Illinois before I wised up and moved to the beach. Snow is great when it's falling out of the sky. But I can do without seven months of cloud cover, slush, searing windchill, colds, weight gain and pasty skin.

It was 72 here today, by the way! Grin
