I hear Thy welcome voice, that calls me, Lord to Thee, For cleansing in Thy precious blood That flowed on Calvary....Though coming weak and vile, Thou dost my strengh assure; Thou dost my vilenesss fully cleanse, Till spotless all and pure...'Tis Jesus who confirms the blessed work within, By adding grace to welcomed grace, Where reigned the power of sin...And he the witness gives to loyal hearts and free, that every promise is fulfilled if grace but brings the plea...All hail, atoning blood! All hail, redeeming grace! All hial, the gift of Christ our Lord, Our strength and rightousness....L.Hatsought.

Jesus;  and can it ever be...
A mortal man ashamed of Thee?
Ashamed of Him whom angels praise
Whose glory shines, through endless days!

Praise ye the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him! Let the Amen sound from His people again: Gladly for aye we adore Him.  J Neander.  (Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, if with His love He befriends thee)

:)LORD'S DAY OF NOVEMBER 21ST AT 10:46 PM ARNPRIOR

THE PLAN OF THE MASTER WEAVER

Our lives are but fine weavings
That GOD and we prepare
Each life becomes a fabric planned
And fashioned in His care
We may not always see just how
The WEAVINGS intertwine
but we much trust the MASTER'S hand
And follow His design
For He can view the pattern
Upon the upper side.
While we must look from underneath
And trust in Him to guide
Sometimes a strand of sorrow
Is added to His plan
And though it's difficult for us
We still must understand
That it's He who fills the shuttle
It's He who knows what's best
So we must WEAVE in patience
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall GOD unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why
The dark threads area as needed
In the WEAVER'S Skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform: He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm. Blind unbelief is sure to err, and scan His work in vain;God is His own interpreter, and He will make it plain. C.Cowper

When I Survey the Wonderous Cross
by Isaac Watts:

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

Forbid it , Lord, that I should boast
Save in the death of Christ , my God
All the vain things that charm me most
I sacrifice them to His blood

See, from his Head, His Hands, His Feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compse so rich a crown

Were the whole realm of nature mine
That were a present far too small
Love so amazing so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all

Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2Peter1:21

The Bible is the writing of the living God.  Each letter was penned with an almighty finger.  Each word in it dropped from the everlasting lips.  Each sentence was dictated by the Holy Spirit.

Albeit that Moses was employed to write his histories with his fiery pen, God guided that pen.  It may be that David touched his harp and let sweet psalms of melody drop from his fingers, but God moved his hands over the living strings of his golden harp.  Solomon sang canticles of love and gave forth words of consummate wisdom, but God directed his lips and made the preacher eloquent.  If I follow the thundering Nahum, when his horses plow the waters; or Habakkuk, when he sees the tents of Cushan in affliction; if I read Malachi, when the earth is burning like an oven; if I turn to the smooth page of John, who tells of love; or the rugged chapters of Peter, who speaks of fire devouring God's enemies; if I turn aside to Jude, who launches forth anathemas upon the foes of God-- everywhere I find God speaking.

It is God's voice, not man's; the words are God's words: the words of the Eternal, the Invisible, the Almighty, the Jehovah of ages.  This Bible is God's Bible; and when I see it, I seem to hear a voice springing up from it, saying, "I am the Book of God.  Man, read me.  I am God's writing.  Study my page, for I wasa penned by God.  Love me, for He is my Author, and you will see Him visible and manifest everywhere."

Spurgeon

ALL MUSIC BUT ITS OWN!

Lord's Day December 5th at 7:22 Arnprior

This was on the back of the church bulletin today.

          THE PRICELESS GIFT OF CHRISTMAS

Now Christmas is a season for joy and merrymaking,
A time for gifts and presents, for giving and for taking,
A friendly, happy time when everyone is gay------
But have we ever felt THE GREATNESS OF THE DAY......

For through the centuries the world has wandered far away
From the beauty and the meaning of the HOLY CHRISTMAS DAY............
For Christmas is a heavenly gift that only God can give.
It's ours just for the asking, for as long as we shall live:

It can't be bought or bartered, it can't be won or sold,
It doesn't cost a penny and it's worth far more than gold............
It isn't bright or gleaming for eager eyes to se
It can's be wrapped in tinsel or placed beneath a tree:

It isn't soft and shimmering for reaching hands to touch,
Or some expensive luxury you've wanted very much....
For the PRICELESS GIFT OF CHRISTMAS is meant just for the heart
And we receive it only when we become a part

Of the kingdom and the glory which is ours to freely take,
For God sent the HOLY CHRIST CHILD AT CHRISTMAS for our sake,
So man might come to know him and feel His presence near
And see the many miracles performed while He was here......

And this PRICELESS GIFT OF CHRISTMAS is within the reach of all,
The rich, the poor, the young, the old, the greatest and the small..........
So take His PRICELESS GIFT OF LOVE, reach out and you receive,
And the only payment that God asks is just that you believe.

HOSANNA
By Carl Tuttle:

Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Lord, we lift up Your name
With hearts full of praise
Be exalted, O Lord my God
Hosanna in the Highest

This day Christ has thrown the door of mercy wide open and stands calling and crying with a loud voice to poor sinners.  Now let everyone who is still without Christ and hanging over the pit of hell answer to the loud calls of God's Word.
