Wouldn't it be funny, if after all of this, it was found out that Verne didn't post all of his posts, but that he plagiarized from another BB? I mean, he doesn't really know all of those big words, he is probably copying a real poster, from another website.
What if it turned out that I was a fraud, and that I never did all the things I claimed, like I never really wrote all these posts, I had my followers write them and I just signed my name to them? That would be bad.
What if, after all this, it turns out that we never actually left the Assembly, but were really current members, and this was all a farce! Hah!
Seriously, how many of you would leave the BB if the above was found out to be true?
golden has really got me to thinking with all those stats he keeps coming up with.
Brian, can we please get some stats? (other than the ones golden gets. His are divisive)
Brent----still better than the rest, by virtue of number of posts/quality of posts.....a one to one corellation. All of them are excellent! You should beg me to post more.

For a person who reads his own posts at least 92 times (that's what golden's stats say) there IS NO WAY you know what a word like that means. Verne, you are a biased fraud! Everytime you open your mouth and speak, all we hear is a bunch of words! Words that can be shown to have been spoken elsewhere, prior to you speaking them here. Fraud!! Brent |

Here's a question for all you guys:
Do you understand what golden is trying to do by asking for stats, then posting the ones that are available to the public?
I'm getting nervous. This guy seems crazy, like a fox. I have this feeling that people are going to get the wrong idea about us.
Remember, we are not associated with George Geftakys. We never had anything to do with him, we are just a simple bulletin board....
Should I make this more of an open forum and delete this thread as a show of moderation, or should I be more courteous?

Dear Golden, I am perplexed over all these stats numbers.  Perhaps you could help explain. My problem is that I have dropped from 4th to 5th  , and need to know if this has impacted the meaning of all my previous posts? Has the meaning of them mysteriously changed now that I have dropped in the posting order? Am I less "Brent"-like?  Will I actually begin to start liking carob?  Am I making any sense? Perhaps not; could this be due to my falling in the ranks? Perhaps Verne could help explain now that he is the new number 4 and now closer to Brent. How can I recover myself now that I am falling? Was it my fault? I didn't do anything, I just sat here not posting. How could it be my fault if I didn't do anything? Perhaps Verne is to blame. No, it couldn't be; he is now more "Brent"-like, so it couldn't have been him.  Hey, wait a minute you started all of this stats business didn't you golden. Why should I stop at number four? Why shouldn't I aim for the very top - number two! I want to be number 2. No one can be higher than that! I don't believe in any higher place than 2, so therefore no higher place exists. Anyone who alleges to be higher than 2 must be a fraud, and should be considered to be ineligible and ignored. So, what is the prize for number two? |

Before I saw Brents' response to Golden, I was going to bring up the issue of how many "clicks" there were. There are "on average" MORE THAN 1,000 clicks PER DAY on this BB. Some days, there are more than 2,000!!!! Your point Golden? Like, as if the people who are doing the talking are the only ones interested in the BB? I think you better challenge your premise. And besides, who cares? The people who are interested are here, if you don't want to be here..............leave! It's as simple as that. I don't get you. I signed on to the "Soaring with Sneagles" (pun intended) website and ceased to do so when it irritated the ............out of me. I don't go there anymore. Why are you still here if you don't like it? The people who are here talking are doing so for our own health and welfare. (I'm sorry if I'm talking for the collective "community", forgive me for those few who don't agree with my sentiment, I'm sure there are some.) Interestingly, we are even quite up front about our identities. What makes you so quesy about revealing your true identity? Certainly, anyone can come here anonymously, but it is interesting for those who choose to do so with your bent. My 2 cents! And boy, am I'm mad that I'm no longer in the top 10 posters. I held the position for so long.........it's not fair............whine........Hey........but I have a life now! I don't have time to post, post, post anymore. My name is not Joe Sperling, and I have never been a member of the Assembly. My name is really Burt O'Leary. I'm a reporter for 20/20 news magazine on KABC channel 7 television. We have been doing an undercover report on Cults and their victims. During this investigation I have learned quite a lot, and come up with some pretty good food recipes in the process too. (the recipe for Krishna Crab cakes is out of this world!!).
Part of the expose' has do with "recovery" and how people deal with coming out of these "cults". One way, we have found, that some people deal with these things is to become part of a Bulletin Board. A select few of these people then become what we have come to call "frantic posters". I, myself, have masqueraded as a "frantic poster" for several months now, to see how it would feel to be one.
I had dinner with Barbara Walters just the other night, and it was my first break away from a computer screen in months. She asked how I could continue to live as a "frantic poster" and how miserable my life must be at this point to continue to be one. I couldn't quite believe my own voice as I replied "I'm number 9 on the list now, if I could just post a bit more I might make it to number one".
I knew then that it was time that I begin to wrap-up my long and tedious undercover surveillance job, and begin to put together the television "spot" for 20/20 soon. I do have to say it's been a pleasure getting to know all of you, and to have listened to your impassioned posts which have dealt with everything from the age of the earth, to "bringing up children" in a cult atmosphere. I promise my report will be an honest one, and I will not make anyone here look any nuttier than you already are.
Thanks for bearing with me all of this time.

It continues to amaze me. The fake posters can get more posts flowing than anyone else. Look at the posts. Golden isn't saying ANYTHING, and you guys are goin' CRAZY with posts.
BTW, I have declared that it is not numbers of posts that will win, but quality of posts. No, Brent, you can't win by declaring that yourself. Others must vote you in. So....I hereby call for a recall vote for top ten posters, and change the venue to quality of posts.
Burt, it might interest you that there are several celebrities who regularly post on here. I have the inside scoop on this. I could give hints later on....maybe.

Andrea, Don't you understand? We have a problem. We go crazy when anonymous posters show up because we are essentially imbalanced, hyper-sensitive victims. Now that's a quality post! I can see the Torch and Testimony headlines now, "Our problem is that we are hypersensitive victims." Brent Tr0ckman's own words on why he wants to see George re-instated. Apparently saying "sorry" isn't enough, Brent really wants to repent, but the problem remains that so many people believed the accounts on the website. "Everything I said was false, even the stuff that was true," said Brent with a glazed over, far away look in his eye. "I just wish I could turn the clock back to when I was in the brothers' house. On a serious note: Some of the top ten posters are the ones I personally want to 'hear'(read) from. So I am glad that you keep posting. I also enjoy the 'critical thoughts' of others who are not listed in the top ten. Also, golden gives the BB an opportunity for some 'fun' posting. It is then that I choose to remain in 'guest' mode and enjoy the dialog back and forth between those who respond to golden and his stats. Brent, it's all your fault. If you hadn't started the website and the BB we'd all be sophisticated assemblyites. Marcia |
