Hi Hugh! Retiring next year!!!!!!! This is way lazy on your part and proof that you must be living in Canada or some such socialist state!!! ( By the way, I am not saying the above because I'm jealous and must wait until I'm 59 in order to retire.) Speaking of Canada: How do you like your new prime minister? I'm on kind-of a retirement this week as I had an accident at work and my ankle got twisted around pretty good. It was a miracle that this is all that happened to me, as a broken pallet jack caused a couple thousand pounds to push me off the back of the truck. My right foot was trapped between the pallet and the chain on the lift gate and I hung there from my foot until my shoe came off dropping me to the ground! No broken bones but it sure hurt! I should be back to work next week. Seriously, I hope that God blesses you this last year of work and that you have a great retirement! Mark C.

Happy Birthday, Jan Boyer! Thanks so much for collaborating with Brinda McCumber on the "History of Tuscola and the Midwest". It has been a KEY piece to understanding the dynamics of the Assembly and has helped many people. What a journey it's been, hasn't it, from Westmoreland Chapel through the Assembly to the place where we are now, looking back on it all. "God...will not forget your work and the love you have shown his people as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Grace and peace to you in abundance! --Margaret Irons

Re. Happy Birthday wishes to Al:
He does not read here anymore, but I will be happy to forward your wishes to him via email. I'm sure he misses his friendly contacts from the BB, but has decided that he spent too much time here and needed to just make a permanent separation from his involvement here.
God Bless, Mark C.

I don't always agree with Chuck, but he is an amazing man in the way he has handled his family's Miller/Geftakys rift, how he has embraced technology at his age, and how he presents vigorous argumentation for his viewpoints with grace and the wisdom to know when to quit. Congratulations, Chuck, and many happy returns! I hope your family reunion was a blessing. I wonder if there is any update you might want to share out here in reference to your post of February 23, 2003 regarding your children and grandchildren....

At 80 years old and still able to produce such able defenses for your opinions you certainly are one sharp senior citizen!
Chuck, you have challenged my thinking-- making me plunge into the study of the bible and the history of this country (Chuck and I have an email discussion going re. our nation's roots and what the bible has to tell us about this).
God's very best blessings on you, and your very large family! It has been a privilege to know you and communicate with you re. what is dearest to our hearts'.
God Bless, Mark C.
