Is Heaven a physical or spiritual place ? Is it both spiritual and physical ? Can you touch, smell, hear, taste ? will you feel emotion ? Will you recognize others?
What does the bible say about heaven. With the discussions that are taking place on translations I would love to hear your comments on Heaven.
Thanks

We have proof of God's skill at creating what is good and beautiful right here in the world that we live in.  God says that heaven will be much better.

Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

 :)JUNE 2: 12:45 AM EST:

THERE ARE MANY PLACES IN THE BIBLE THAT DESCRIBE HEAVEN !
I WANT TO SHARE SOME , in paraphrasing !! Smiley

All of creation will be praising and bowing down at the throne of the Lamb.
So there will be variety, colours, and noise.

There will be a banquet.
so there will be eating, and thank goodness no calories.
p.s. by the way, Since I am the coffee maker for this area, and since we will be doing in heaven what we do here on earth. I will be making the coffee.

There are bowls of the prayer of the saints as incense being offered to the Lamb upon his throne.
SO there will be smells.

There will be singing: So their are voices in a Joyful Noise.

The twelve apostles and twelve representatives of the tribes of Israel will be on their thrones.
So we will recognize them, just as Peter, James and John recognized Elijah and Moses.

There will be Jesus upon his throne. So there will be conversation.

Apparently the streets are paved with gold.
SO there will be beautiful sights to see.

There will be mansions, rooms for every one.
So there will be buildings and people living in those buildings.

This is only a fraction that is mentioned in the Bible, and what is not mentioned.
Even as I described them, the description is only a fractions of the  wonders that God will be showing us around.

This is what I have gleaned from God's word.
I am taking it in child like faith, because I am looking forward to see and experience all God has to offer in eternity.

(p.s. especially the no calorie foods)

TALK TO YOU LATER.

This came to me today in a vision an e-mail:

     I  was confused, bewildered,
     As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
               Its glory or decor.

But t'was the folks in Heaven
     Who made me stagger so--
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
                The lowest of the low.

There stood my worst old neighbor,
     A convicted felon twice,
                 Right next to my ex-classmate
                 Who was anything but nice.

The person I had felt most sure
Would earn a place in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
                   And really looked quite well.

I asked the Lord, "What's up with that?
Please tell me how this works."
(Could God have made some huge mistake,
               To harbor all these jerks?)

"And why are they so quiet,
     So somber? What's the clue?"

"Hush, child," He said. "They're all in shock,
None thought that they'd see you."

Great one Al, I got a good laugh out of it...because I think it has a lot of truth to it.
Heard a good one this morning;
A mother hears her son sneaking into the pantry where the cookie jar is kept...."Son, What are you doing in there" ?...."I'm fighting temptation Mom".
