Actually, I found links that said it was Epstein, Martin, Sutcliffe, Best, Preston and Clapton.

I chose Epstein as the only possible correct answer because:
1.)He was the first to be referred to as the 5th Beatle
2.)I thought it was him, and didn't want to change my position on it.  Wink

They will always be the fab four, not five.

Makes sense to me!

The link I mentioned previously will show a different Fifth Beatle if you go back and click on it again and again. I've seen Michael Jackson, Barney Fife, Curious George, somebody from Devo, and a few others.

I've got waaaaaay too much time on my hands. Better go finish fixing dinner.

Name two Lennon-McCartney tunes that feature zero John Lennon.

Brent

Back to this - is one of them "Yesterday"?

Speaking of which - what song did John call Paul's "first" 'Yesterday'?

Yesterday is one, for sure.  When it was first written, it had the title, "Scrambled eggs."
The second one is Elanor Rigby.

I don't know the answer to your question.....congrats.  I'm stumped.

John was referring to "And I Love Her" from the Hard Day's Night soundtrack as being Paul's "first" Yesterday.

Wrong summer.  Why don't you just admit that you don't know the answer?  Hope that was blunt enough.  Smiley
