HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW Author: Civilla D. Martin Charles H. Gabriel
Chorus:
I SING BECAUSE I'M HAPPY [I'M HAPPY] I SING BEAUSE I'M FREE [I'M FREE] FOR HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW, AND I KNOW HE WATCHES ME
Verse 1:
Why should I feel discouraged Why should the shadows come Why should my heart be lonely And long for Heav'n and home When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He His eye is on the sparrow And I know He watches me His eye is on the sparrow And I know He watches me
Verse 2
Let not your heart be troubled His tender word I hear And resting on His goodness I lose my doubts and fears Tho by the path He leadeth But one step I may see His eye is on the sparrow And I know He watches me His eye is on the sparrow And I know he watches me.
Verse 3
Whenever I am tempted Whenever cloud arise When song give place to singing When hope within me dies I draw the closer to Him From care He sets me free His eye is on the sparrow And I know He cares for me His eye is one the sparrow And I know He watches me

WORK FOR THE NIGHT IS COMING Author: Annie L. Coghill Lowell Mason
Verse 1:
Work, for the night is coming, Work thro' the morning hours Work while the dew is sparkling , Work 'mid springing flowers Work when the day grows brighter, Work in the glowing sun Work, for the night is coming, When man's work is done
Verse 2: Work, for the night is coming, Work thro' the sunny noon Fill brightest hours with labour, Rest comes sure and soon Give every flying minute, Something to keep in store Work, for the night is coming, When man works no more
Verse 3 Work, for the night is coming, Under the sunset skies While their bright tints are glowing, WOrk, for daylight flies Work till the last beam fadeth, Fadeth to shine no more Work, while the night is darkening, When man's work is o'er.

Hi Gang:
Tonight was our month end music evening night at the church, including the food fellowship time.
Tonight the theme was on Francis Ridley Havergal [1836-1879) Pastor and his wife read poems, and bios of this very talent woman, who at the age of 5 started to read and memorize the Bible, by the time she was 7 she had the New Testament Memorized and the Psalms. She was an accomplished concert pianist, vocalist, and lyrics.
Our hymn books has about 7 hymns, Including Like a River Glorious Lord Speak to Me, That I May SPeak I am Trusting Thee Lord Jesus Take My Life and Let It Be I Gave my Life for Thee True Heart, Whole Hearted
WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE?
Verse 1 Who is on the Lord's side? Who will serve the King? Who will be His helpers, other lives to bring? Who will leave the world's side? Who will face the foe? Who is on the Lord's side? Who for Him will go? By Thy call of mercy, By Thy grace divine, We are on the Lord's side, Saviour, we are Thine.
Verse 2 Not for weight of glory, Not for crown and palm, Enter we the army, Raise the warrior palm; But for love that claimeth, Lives for whom He died; He whom Jesus nameth Must be on His side. By Thy love constraining, By Thy grace divine We are on the Lord's side, Saviour, we are Thine
Verse 3 Jesus, Thou hast brought us, Not with gold or gem, But with Thine own lifeblood, For Thy diadem, With Thy blessing filling, Each who comes to Thee, Thou hast made us willing, thou hast made us free, By Thy grand redemption, By Thy grace divine We are on the Lord's side, Saviour, we are Thine
Verse 4 Fierce may be the conflict, Strong may be the foe, But the King's own army None can overthrow. Round His standard ranging . Victory is secure. For His truth unchanging. Makes the triumph sure. Joyfully enlisting By Thy grace divine. We ar on the Lord's side, Saviour, we are Thine
AMEN

Happy Lord's Day of August 14th:
This hymn I am writing was song by my pastor and his wife, last week before communion commenced.
BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD ABOVE:
Before the throne of God above I have a strong, a perfect plea A great High Priest Whose Name is "love" Who ever lives and pleads for me My name is graven on His hand My name is written on His heart I know that while in heav'n He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart No tonque can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair And tells me of the guilt within Upward I look and see Him There Who made an end to all my sin Because the sinless Saviour died My sinful soul is counted free For God, the Just, is satisfied To look on HIm, and pardon me To look on Him, and pardon me
Behold Him there! The risen Lamb My perfect, spotless Righteousness The great unchangeable I AM The King of glory and of grace! One with HImself, I cannot die My soul is purchased by His blood My life is hid with Christ on high WIth Christ, my Saviour and My God WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOUR AND MY GOD

O THOU IN WHOSE PRESENCE Author: Joseph Swain Freeman Lewis
Verse 1:
O Thou, in whose presence my soul takes delight On whom in affliction I call, My comfort by day and my song in the night My hope, my salvation, my all.
Verse 2:
Where dost Thou, dear Shepherd, resort with Thy sheep To feed them in pastures of love? Say, why in the valley of death should I weep, Or alone in this wilderness rove?
Verse 3
O why should I wander, an alien from Thee, Or cry in the desert for bread? Thy foes will rejoice when my sorrows they see, And smile at the tears I have shed.
Verse 4
He looks! and ten thousands of angels rejoice, And myriads wait for His word; He speaks! and eternity, filled with His voice, Re echoes the praise of the Lord
Verse 5
Dear Shepherd! I hear, and will follow Thy call; I know the sweet sound of Thy voice; Restore and defend me, for Thou art my all, And in Thee I will ever rejoice.

Sept 11th. This song was sung during the evening services today. I believe it is fitting, not just for our own personal trials, but for those affected for those who are affected in the American Gulf Coast. We Canadians Christians individually and as members of churches are praying.
I NEED JESUS By George O.Webster Charles H. Gabriel
CHORUS:
I NEED JESUS.....I NEED JESUS [I need Jesus with me, I need Jesus always]
I NEED JESUS EVERY DAY [every day]
NEED HIM IN THE SUNSHINE HOUR NEED HIM WHEN THE STORM CLOUDS LOW EVERY DAY ALONG MY WAY YES I NEED JESUS
VERSE 1:
I need Jesus my need I now confess; No friend like Him in times of deep distress I need Jesus the need I gladly own Tho some may bear their load alone Yet I need Jesus
VERSE 2
I need Jesus I need a friend like Him A friend to guide when paths of life are dim I need Jesus when foes my soul assail Alone I know I can but fail So, I need Jesus
VERSE 3
I need Jesus, I need Him to the end No one like Him, He is the sinner's Friend I need Jesus, no other friend will do So constant kind, so strong and true Yes I need Jesus.
................
It is so true our need for Jesus for everything in our life, so true in trials, but if we can learn to depend and trust Jesus with the smallest things, so when the big trials comes our way. We can trust Jesus will be there always. Need for Jesus in our lives will never end. Isnt it great we can depend on HIm for all things, all the time. If we so let him.
God Bless you
Lenore

CHRIST LIVETH IN ME Author: Daniel W. Whittle James McGranahan
Chorus: Christ liveth in me, Christ liveth in me O what a salvation this That Christ liveth in me.
Verse 1: Once far from God and dead in sin, No light my heart could see, But in God's Word and the light I found- Now Christ liveth in me.
Verse 2: As rays of light from yonder sun, The flow'rs of earth set free, So life and light and love came forth, From Christ living in me.
Verse 3: As lives the flow'r within the see, As in the cone the tree, So, praise the God of truth and grace, His Spirit dwelleth in me.
Verse 4: With longing all my heart if filled, That like Him I may be, As on the wondrous thought I dwell, That Christ liveth in me.
